Szpiglasowy Wierch

Point d'orgue de ce trek de 3 jours, une nouvelle étape à travers quelques endroits emblématiques des Tatras Polonaises, et pas des moindres. Il s'agit de rendre visite, enfin, au célébrissime Morskie Oko... Pour ce faire, et grâce au sens du trek, j'ai mis en oeuvre l'idée originale qui consiste à découvrir ce site et à l'apprécier à sa juste valeur en commençant par le haut, et donc la solitude... Avec au passage, l'ascension de Szpiglasowy Wierch, situé non loin du col homonyme, et qui bien qu'à une altitude modeste, possède tous les attributs d'un grand sommet.

Conclusion of this 3-days trek, a new stage in some emblematic places of the Polish Tatras, and not the leasts. It's about visiting, finally, this famous Morskie Oko ... To do this, thanks to the direction of this trek, I had the great idea which consists in discovering this place and appreciating it at its right value, starting from upside, and thus in the loneliness ... With, on the way, the ascent of Szpiglasowy Wierch, located not far from the identically named pass, which, despite a modest hight, owns all the attributes of a major summit.

Le refuge Schronisko Pięciu Stawów était archi-complet, c'est le moins que l'on puisse dire ! L'arnaque dans l'histoire, c'est que même en dormant sur le balcon (et seulement sur le balcon, la pelouse fait partie du Parc National et est donc interdite...), il faut s'acquitter de la somme presque entière. Le règlement, c'est le règlement ! Vous voici prévenus...
The refuge Schronisko Pięciu Stawów was packed with people, that's the least we can say ! The scam of the story is that even while sleeping on the balcony (and only on the balcony, the grass belongs to the National Parc and hence forbidden...), one must fulfil almost the full sum for one night. The rules are the rules. You were warned...
Un superbe lever de soleil vient néanmoins compenser cette déconvenue.

Bon, même topo qu'hier. Le thé avalé, on part dare-dare pour savourer la solitude, dans cette vallée archi-fréquentée. Je m'élève tranquillement au dessus de Wielki Staw.
Same plan than yesterday. Once the tea swallowed, let's go quickly to savour the loneliness in this very popular valley. I start walking slowly over Wielki Staw.

Au niveau de la jonction avec le sentier jaune, des mini-lacs dans une zone marécageuse, dans lesquels se reflètent les cimes baignées dans l'aurore. At the level of the junction with the yellow trail, some small lakes in a marshy zone, in which are reflecting the tops, bathed into the morning light.

Voilà , on y arrive enfin, à la neige. Même qui si ça ne fait que 300m de long, il faut chausser (enfin !) les crampons. La dernière fois que je les ai sortis de leur emballage, c'était il y a 3 ans au Vignemale... J'aurai par ailleurs l'occasion de m'en servir de nouveau cette année.
Here we are, at the snow. Even if it's going to last only 300m of length, we must (finally !) put the crampons on. The last time I took them out of their pocket was 3 years ago on the Vignemale... On the other hand, I will have the opportunity to use them again this year.
Nouvelle vue sur la grande vallée des 5 lacs, qui n'est pas sans me rappeller la Pyrénéenne Vallée de Colomers.
New view to the wide valley of the 5 lakes, which is not without recalling me the Pyrenean Valley of Colomers.

J'arrive sur le col de Szpiglasowa Przełęcz. Sur l'autre versant, vue de toute beauté sur le pic Rysy et ses voisins.
I arrive to the pass Szpiglasowa Przełęcz. On the other side, a view af all beauty to the the peak Rysy and its neighbours.

En bas, versant Slovaque, car le sommet de Szpiglasowy Wierch est frontalier, vertigineuse vue plongeante sur le lac Nizné Temnosmrecinské Pleso. A droite, au loin, c'est le pic de Świnica de la veille, avec son lac Zadni Staw toujours partiellement gelé.
Downside, on the Slovak side, since Szpiglasowy Wierch lies on the border, vertiginous plunging view to the lake Nizné Temnosmrecinské Pleso. On the right, far ahead, this is the peak Świnica from the day before, with its lake Zadni Staw still partially frozen.

Vue sur le massif de Rysy, décidément magnifique. La corniche pointue que l'on voit à droite est Mnich, le "moine", spot d'escalade renommé, qui a donné son nom à ce val glaciaire.
Looking to the Rysy range, magnificent for sure. The hooked horn that we see on the right is Mnich, the "monk", well-known rockclimbing spot, which gave its name to this glaciar valley.

Deux lacs: Staw Staszica et Wyżne Mnichove Stawki.

Eux aussi, pas encore entièrement fondus. Des "icebergs" flottent encore à la surface. Spectacle qu'il m'avait déjà été donné d'admirer il y a quelques années au Turon de Néouvielle.
These ones also are not entierely melted. Some "icebergs" still remain on the surface. Spectacle which I had already once to occasion to admire few years ago at the Turon de Néouvielle.

Les rives du lac de Morskie Oko, le 2nd plus grand lac des Tatras mais aussi le plus profond. Remarquable aussi pour le fait qu'il soit encastré aussi bas, à l'altitide de la forêt. Une légende dit qu'il serait lié à l'Adriatique, ce qui n'a rien de surprenant vu sa couleur émeraude.
the shores of the lake Morskie Oko, the 2nd biggest lake of the Tatras but also the deepest. It can be also underlined for the fact it lies so low, at the level of the forest. A legent tells that it is connected to the Adriatic sea, which has nothing surprising considering its emerald colour.

Les rives de Morskie Oko. Malheureusement, une telle vue calme est exceptionelle, tant ce site souffre de surfréquentation. En été, un tas de gens sont assis sur chaque rocher.
The shores of Morskie Oko. Unfortunately, such a calm view is exceptional, such this site suffers from its popularity and disproportioned crowd. During the summer, tons of people sit on every rock.

200m plus haut, Morskie Oko est secondé par un lieutenant presque aussi grand que lui, Czarny Staw Pod Rysami, dont voici les rives.
200m higher, Morskie Oko is doubled by a lieutenant almost as big as him, Czarny Staw Pod Rysami, whose shore you can see here.
Czarny Staw signifie au passage "Lac Noir", ce qui n'a rien de surprenant vu la nature du site. "Pod Rysami", justement, car il est au pied du pic Rysy, point culminant de la Pologne. Ce ne sera pas pour ce jour, j'en ai plein les jambes !
Czarny Staw means, by the way, "Black Lake", which is not surprising considering the nature of this site. "Pod Rysami", precisely, since it lies on the foot of the peak Rysy, highest mountain in Poland. This is not for today, I have far enough in my legs !
Un grand iceberg monobloc, vestige de sa rive Sud gelée, se déplace au gré du vent.
A wide monobloc iceberg, remain of its frozen southern shore, moving with the wind.

Le déversoir se jette via une petite chute d'eau dans le lac Morskie Oko, que l'on voit ici en bas.
Downstream, it falls down through a little waterfall into the Morskie Oko lake, which we see downside.
Je redescend retrouver ma voiture par la route hyperfréquentée menant au lac. Je croise des foules de gens montant en sens inverse, dans toutes les tenues, en direction du ciel qui se couvre. Moi, rouge de coups de soleil, exténué, avec tout mon attirail, je descend dans la direction opposée, tel un extra-terrestre.
I walk back downside to find my car, through the over-populated road leading to the lake. I meet crowds of people climbing into the opposite direction, dressed in every possible way, towards the sky which gets more and more stormy. Harassed, with all my gear, I go down the opposite direction, like an UFO.

Un peu plus loin au bord de la route, alors que je traverse d'Est en Ouest le pays "Podhale"...

Pour clore ce magnifique trek de 3 jours, une dernière vue, d'où l'on distingue parfaitement la vallée Dolina Gąsienicowa, où j'ai dormi le 1er jour, Kościelec et Świnica gravis le 2nd jour...
To conclude this magnificent 3 days trek, a last view, from where we still recognize perfectly the valley Dolina Gąsienicowa, where I slept the 1st day, Kościelec and Świnica climbed the 2nd one...
