Nous voici de nouveau sur le sentier, pour le jour J. Le programme de cette journée est très chargé. Nous devons prendre le sentier vers "Hribarice", passer le col Mišeljski Konec, et nous élever vers la base du Triglav. Après l'aller-retour sur l'arête vers le sommet, depuis le refuge Dom Planika, nous avons prévu de redescendre encore plus bas pour passer la nuit suivante au Vodnikov Dom.

Here we are again on the trail for the D-day. Today's program is very busy. We must take the path towards Hribarice and cross the pass Mišeljski Konec, to reach the base of Triglav. After the way up and down on the ridge to the summit, from the mountain hut Dom Planika, we plan to go down even further to spend the night next to Vodnikov Dom.

Lever de soleil depuis Zasavska Koča. Je ne connaissais pas le nom des montagnes au moment des photos, mais grâce à la carte et Google j'ai pu retrouver les noms. Ici, c'est le Bavski Grintavec éclairé à droite, et plus loin au fond le Visoki Kanin, que l'on verra de plus près dans une semaine en allant dans la vallée de la Soča.
Sunrise from the hut Zasavska Koča. I didn't know the name of those mountains when I took them, but thanks to the map and Google I finally managed to put a name on them. Here, that's the Bavski Grintavec lightened on the right, and further in the background the Visoki Kanin, which we will see from closer in one week when we will go to the valley of the Soča.

Ces deux, tout au fond et châpeautés de nuages lenticulaires, étaient les deux plus difficiles à trouver. Je m'en doutais un peu, ils sont situés versant Italien des Alpes Juliennes, les "Alpi Giulie": il s'agit du Jôf di Montasio et du Jôf Fuart. Malgré leur éloignement, l'impression ne trompe pas: ce sommet est le second plus haut de cette région des Alpes après le roi Triglav.
Those two, in the far background and topped by lenticular clouds, were the most difficult to find. As I expected a bit, they are located in the Italian mountainside of the Julian Alpes, the "Alpi Giulie": They are the Jôf di MontasioJôf di Montasio and the Jôf Fuart. Despite being far, the impression doesn't lie: this mountain is the second highest of the region of the Alps after the king Triglav.

Tous nos amis sont là. Petite observation amusante, le point brillant tout au milieu est la toiture du refuge Zavetišče pod Špičkom qui se reflète au soleil. Chaque jour à 6h, me confirme le gardien du refuge...
All of our friends are here. Little funny observation, the shining point in the center is the roof of the mountain hut Zavetišče pod Špičkom reflecting the sun. Every day at 6am, confirms the mountain hut keeper...

Départ, après le p'tit dèj, nous retrouvons des endroits vus la veille, ici à gauche le Velika Zelnarica.
Starting, after the early morning breakfast, we meet again some places seen the day before, here on the feft the Velika Zelnarica.
Nous nous dirigeons vers Hribarice.

Ce nom barbare dévoile peu à peu sa signification : l’endroit est à peu près aussi inhospitalier que sa prononciation. Il s’agit d’un haut col, plateau de débris calcaires, de lapiaz crevassés pénibles à enjamber, sans la moindre végétation, où les repères sont rares malgré les cairns. Ca me rappelle le massif Espagnol du Cotiella...
This barbare name unveils slowly its meaning : the place is about as unfriendly as its pronunciation. It's a high wide pass, plateau of limestone crags, cracked lapiaz uncomfortable to step over, without the least vegetation, where landmarks are rare and despite some cairns. It reminds me a bit the Spannish massif of the Cotiella...

Nous passons ensuite le col Mišeljski Konec, impressionnante échancrure, surtout en la regardant côté Est après être passé.
Then we cross after the col Mišeljski Konec, very impressive gap, especially whe you turn and look backwards to its East side.

We pass near the hut Tržaška koča.

S'ensuit une montée, longue, très longue, en direction de la base de l'arête du Triglav.
Then a long way up follows, long, very long, in the direction of the base of Triglav's ridge.
Nous passons devant quelques estives, rareté dans ce décor brûlé, ou errent quelques moutons. Visiblement, c'est l'anniversaire de quelqu'un.
We walk past few meadows, rarity in this dry environement, where some sheep wander. Obviously, today is the birthday of someone.

Nous arrivons enfin au refuge Dom Planika, où nous faisons une pause avant d'attaquer la dernière ligne droite. Deux espèces d'animaux cohabitent en abondance: moutons et randonneurs...
We finally arrive to the Dom Planika hut, where we make a break before undertaking the final part. Two animal species live along in abundance here: sheep and hikers...

La première tâche (et à mon humble avis la plus "difficile", sur un sol parfois fuyant) consiste à rejoindre la croupe de l'arête.
The first task (and in my opinion the most "complicaetd", beware of loose stones in some places) consists in reaching the horseback of the ridge.


Une fois sur l'arête, nous bénéficions de splendides vues sur le versant Nord du Triglav.
Once on the ridge, we get some splendid views of the North face of Triglav.

La fin de l'arête, et la foule au sommet, d'où l'on reconnait la célèbre petite tourelle métallique.
The end of the ridge and the crowd on the top, in which we recognize the famous little metallic tower.

Le refuge Dom Staniča, alter-égo de Dom Planika situé côté Nord de l'arête, une étape de la montée, et un gascon au sommet du Triglav.
The Dom Staniča hut, equivalent of Dom Planika but located North from the ridge, one stage of the climb, and a "gascon" on top of Triglav.

Il est temps d'attaquer la redescente. Nous distinguons déjà d'ici le refuge Vodnikov Dom, où nous allons passer la nuit suivante.
It's already high time to start going down. We can see already from here the Vodnikov Dom hut, where we plan to spend the next night.

Passés Dom Planika, le calme revient tout à coup. Au loin tout à gauche à contre-jour, les Alpes Kamniške.
Once we leave Dom Planika, we return suddenly into the quietness. Far ahead on the left and in the shaddow, the Kamniške Alps.
Nous entamons une magifique descente dans la vallée de Velska Dolina.
We start a fine descent into the valley of Velska Dolina.

Derniers instants magiques d'une fabuleuse journée, avant un dinner et un repos bien mérité à Vodnikov Dom. Mais le trek n'est pas encore terminé, rendez vous demain pour la fin !
Last magic moments of a fabulous day, before well deserved dinner and a rest at the Vodnikov Dom. But the trek is still not finished, see the next day for the end !
