Ouvrez une page au hasard dans le guide "The Munros" du SMC, et peut être tombrerez vous sur un comme celui-ci! Pour ce retour en Ecosse que j'attendais avec tant d'impatience, jamais je n'aurais imaginé un tel incunnu pour ce fameux 34e Munro (j'ai pensé longtemps au Torridon, à Cairn Toul, et même à Ben a'Ghlo, où j'ai effectué une vaine tentative le pluvieux w.e. précédent, sans compter un début de The Saddle, la veille, toujours aussi humide). "Sommet assez insignifiant", telle est l'introduction du court chapitre dédié à A'Ghlas Bheinn. Cependant, sa visite associée à celles des Chutes de Glomach, plus grande cascade du Royaume Uni malheureusement sans Cirque de Gavarnie pour en apprécier pleinement l'ampleur, constitue une expédition honnête.

For this return in Scotland that I have been waiting for with so much impatience, I never expected such an unknown one for this well waited 34th Munro (I rather thought a long time about Torridon, Cairn Toul, and even about Ben a'Ghlo where I did a rainy vain attempt the w.e. before, also without counting a Saddle start the day before, still as wet). "Insignificant Summit", this is the introduction to the short chapter dedicated to A'Ghlas Bheinn. Anyway, its visit combined with the one of Falls of Glomach, deepest waterfal in United Kingdom unfortunately without Cirque of Gavarnie for appreciating fully its size, repersents an honest hillwalking day.

Le long de la montée dans le Gleann Choinneachain, nous croisons encore les doigts pour la météo, car le plafond nuageux flirte continuellement avec les cîmes.
All the way up long in Gleann Choinneachain, we keep fingers crossed about meteo, as the cloudy ceiling if flirting continually with tops.

Une fois dans le Col dit "Bealach na Sroine", célèbre pour être hanté en provoquant des cauchemards, la cîme d'A'Ghlas-Bheinn n'est plus très loin. Once in the "Bealach na Sroine", famous to be haunted by making nightmares to people, the A'Ghlas-Bheinn top isn't very far ahead.

Les fameuses Falls of Glomach. Ceci est mon premier "panorama" vertical, que j'ai du malheureusement pas mal rétrécir pour qu'il passe, et que je vous invite à admirer dans sa pleine grandeur en Cliquant dessus. A droite, A'Ghlas Bheinn vu d'en bas au retour, alors que le vilain front nuageux semble définitivement abandonner les Highlands.

The famous Falls of Glomach. This is my first vertical "panorama", that I had unfortunately to resize a lot to make it fit, and that I invite you to admire in its whole size by Clicking on it. On the right, A'Ghlas Bheinn seen from downside on the way back, while this naughty cloudy depression seems to leave definitely the Highlands.
