Ślęża

Ślęża est une petite montagne de 700m, sommet le plus au Nord des Sudètes, et par la même occasion le dernier sommet au Nord de l'Europe avant la mer Baltique. Visible depuis Wrocław par temps clair depuis n’importe quel haut bâtiment, ce cône sombre intrigue. L’ascension prend une petite demi-journée, le paysage est plus varié et plus intéressant qu’il ne le laisse supposer de loin. Avant de parvenir au sommet, nous traversons une splendide forêt de hêtres, puis de pins sylvestres. Ślęża est parsemée de rochers granitiques sculptés par des civilisations païennes datant d’il y a très longtemps. Versant opposé, une petite route franchit le col qui la sépare du reste des Sudètes. Plein de jolies fermes et villages alentours.

Ślęża is a little mountain 700m heigh, northernmost summit of the Sudetes, and in the same time the last summit in the North of Europe before the Baltic sea. Visible from Wrocław by clear weather from any high building, this wide dark cone focus the attention. The ascent takes a little half day, and the landscape is more various and interesting that it looks like from far. Before reaching the top, we cross a nice forest of beeches, and sylvester pines. Ślęża is also spread with granitic rocks sculpted by pagan civilisations long ago. Opposite side, a little road crosses a pass that separates it to the rest of the Sudetes. A lot of nice farms and villages are to see around.

Le sommet contient 4 éléments importants; dans l'ordre d'intérêt: un balcon panoramique surélevé au dessus des arbres, une chapelle, un refuge-restaurant, et une antenne télé. Ici, l'église et la vue du balcon.

Du balcon, vue sur Radunia, prolongement de ce petit massif au Sud et cordon ombilical avec le reste des Sudètes, que l'on voit au loin à droite.

A y regarder de plus près, on reconnait au loin le massif du Karkonosze. Nous distiguons Śnieżka son point culminant, et Szrenica au dessus du névé blanc.
Having a closer look we recognize there the range of the Karkonosze. We can see Śnieżka, its highest point, and Szrenica, over the white snowy spot.
