Glen Orchy est une longue vallée légèrement en altitude orientée du Nord au Sud, dans le prolongement du Loch Lomond, lorsqu'on continue à s'éloigner vers le Nord. Son versant Est présente une série de sommets alignés presque tous semblables les uns aux autres, vus de la route. Versant Ouest, derrière le West Highland Way, se dressent d'autres massifs plus individualisés et très attirants, qui donnent un avant-goût des régions vraiment sauvages, surtout en allant vers le Loch Awe.

Glen Orchy is a long valley slightly in altitude, oriented from North to South, in the alignment of Loch Lomond, as we get further on towads the North. Its Eastern hillside presents a set of aligned summits almost identical to each other, as seen from the road. On the Western side, behind the West Highland Way, are lying some other ranges more individualised and very attractive, which give a foretaste of the really wild areas, especially in the direction of Loch Awe.
