Première réelle sortie montagne de 1999 (mis à part le "week end ski raté" de Glenshee transformé en marche à Braemar). L'enthousiasme collectif de renfiler les chaussures est toutefois refroidi par des conditions météorologiques dantesques.. Premier Munro raté. Et dire que c'est moi qui avait insisté pour y aller.
First real mountain trip of 1999 (apart from the "failed week end ski" of Glenshee and transformed into a walk near Braemar). Anyway the collective enthousiasm for putting the boots on again is cooled by dantesque meteorologic conditions.. First Munro failed. And when I think it's me who insisted for going.

La tempete faisant rage, nous n'atteindrons pas le sommet. L'heure du repas: a l'abri !
Because of the furious storm, we won't reach the summit. Lunch time: under the tent

On redescend de la facon la plus rapide We go back down the quickest way

Ce n'est q'en revenant qu'on appercoit un rayon de soleil ! That's only on the way back that we see a ray of light

Une autre sortie dans la chaine de Bridge of Orchy aura lieu durant l'été
Another trip will take place in to the Bridge of Orchy ridge during the next summer.
