Teplické Skály
1015 m ; 16/09/07

Teplické Skály (http://www.teplickeskaly.cz), forms the other half of this part of the Czech Table Mountains range, with Adršpašské skály. Both can be combined in one trip by the way. Apart from the same type of rocky sandstone piles, still as impressive, Teplické Skály also has a wide central depression, hosting a marshy, fragile, and very specific ecosystem. Further, it is also possible to cruise on a lake (yes, you read well...). Boat cruise wich summarizes by itself the essence of Czech humour !

Some very old writtings attest that rock-climbing was done here since very long ago, and reminds in the same time that this region, just like the Polish Silesia, belonged to Germany until 1945.
