Sans toutefois prétendre à un slogan aussi flatteur, le Sud Ouest de l'Ecosse mérite un détour, avec son climat local très doux dû au très puissant Gulf Stream, et son caractère nettement plus Sudique, voire même ressemblant à notre Bretagne.
Without really deserving such a flattering slogan, the South West of Scotland is worth a visit, with its smooth local climate due to the very strong Gulf Stream, and its character distinctly more Southern, even similar to French Britanny.

La péninsule étroite du Mull of Galloway, plongeant vers La Mer d'Irlande et l'Ile de Man. Son extêmité rocheuse est célèbre pour la riche faune ornithologique (voir page oiseaux) qu'elle abrite. the Narrow peninsula of Mull of Galloway, leading to the Irish Sea and the Isle of Man. Its very rocky end is famous for the rich ornitholigic fauna (see the sea birds page) that lives here
