Ce Dimanche là, voyant le beau temps s'installer, je pris mes raquettes pour une petite sortie en solo à Śnieżnik, l'un des points culminants de la chaine des Jesenik, frontalier avec la Tchéquie, 100km au Sud de Wrocław, et dont je rêvais de faire l'ascension durant tout l'hiver... Cette moitié des Sudètes est très calme et plus sauvage que l'autre. Il parait qu'avec de la chance on y voit des chamois. Grosse fonte des neiges, il s'agit probablement et déjà de la dernière sortie "hiver" 2006...

That Sunday, seing the sun setting in a pure sky in early morning, I took my snowshoes for a little lone trip to Śnieżnik, one of the highest tops of the Jesenik range, bordering Czech Republic, 100km south from Wrocław, and whose ascent I was dreaming of all winter long... This half of the Sudetes is very calm and wilder than the other. I heard also that with a bit of luck, one can surprise some chamois. Huge melt of snow, it's probably, and already, the last winter trek of 2006...

Nous quittons le village pour nous diriger vers le pied du massif par le sentier balisé de rouge.
We leave the village and head to the foot of the mountain by the trail marked in red.

Vue sur le reste du massif des Jesenik, côté Tchèque, partie orientale des Sudetes dont Śnieżnik fait partie. View to the rest of range of the Jesenik, on the Czech side, oriental part of the Sudety, to which Śnieżnik belongs.

Au loin, sur ces photos dont j'ai augmenté le contraste (air lourd), nous distinguons Praded, le point culminant des Jesenik, surplombé d'une gigantesque antenne, ainsi que les Góry Stołowe, à l'Ouest de l'autre côté de la grande vallée de Klodzko.
Far away, on these photos whose I enhanced the contrast (heavy air), we notice Praded, highest point culminant of the Jesenik, topped by a giant antenna, as well as the Góry Stołowe, in the West, on the on the other side of the wide valley of Klodzko.

Le reste des Jesenik Polonaises au Nord, dont l'autre point culminant est Rudawiec (jolie vallée, prévu un jour).
The rest of the Polish Jesenik on the North, whose other high point is Rudawiec (nice valley, in my plans for some day).

Redescente de Śnieżnik par le sentier bleu, long, très long... surtout lorsque la neige fond comme en cette fin d'hiver.
Going down from Śnieżnik via the blue trail, long, very long... especially when snow melts like in this end of winter.

Qui se transforme progressivement en gorge, non loin de là où je me suis garé.
Which becomes progressively a gorge, not far from where I parked.

Il y a ici une spectaculaire cascade, l'une des plus grandes des Sudètes, que les rayons du soir m'illuminent idéalement. Conclusion sympathique.
Here is a spectacular waterfall, one of the biggest in the whole Sudetes, that the evening sun is lightening ideally. Fine conclusion.
