Pyrénées Pireneo

Sobrarbe
(Espagne, d'Ordesa aux Posets - Spain, from Ordesa to Posets)

Not far South from the Monte Perdido, on the Spanish side, starts the Pyrenean Arizona, called "Sobrarbe". Country of gorges, canyons, arid soil, rocks whose tones spread from gold to the the incandescent hues, dry like stones of lighters, Mediterranean vegetation, but with a no less daunting climate in winter ...
Like any area far from the axis of the chain, the peaks are not amongst the highest of the Pyrenees, but they offer nonetheless remarkable views.
The largest of them, the Cotiella, is a true desert of limestone and crevassed karstic lapiaz, whose area is the largest of all the Pyrenean mountains.
